Kristen Stewart Says Her Twilight Days Were 'Traumatic'

Kristen Stewart says that now that she has grown out of her "Twilight" days, she doesn't give a f*** about what everybody has to say anymore, ABC News reports.

Starring in the Twilight saga with her equally hot former beau Robert Pattinson has earned her millions of young fans all over the world and full media attention.

"It was a really traumatic period in my early 20s that kick-started something in me that was a bit more feral. Between ages 15 and 20, it was really intense," the 25-year-old star told Marie Claire. "I was constantly anxious. I was kind of a control freak. If I didn't know how something was going to turn out, I would make myself ill, or just be locked up or inhibited in a way that was really debilitating."

Her 2012 cheating scandal with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders, who was then married, caused the father of two's divorce with then-wife, Liberty Ross. K-Stew and the 44-year-old filmmaker were snapped by paparazzi making out while she was still dating R-Patz.

"I lit my universe on fire and I watched it burn," the actress shared.

Pattinson gave Stewart a second chance and tried working things out during the promotion of their final Twilight movie, "Breaking Dawn Part 2", but a lot of damage has already been done. The couple officially ended their relationship few months after.

"I'm really proud that I am able to move forward and not fall into every mental crater. That's a new thing for me. Age has made me smarter and calmer. And it is f****** awesome," Stewart added.

The "Runaways" actress has moved on and is now facing her mature life with a more liberating look. The actress told the magazine about her decision to cut her hair off.

"My hair was such a crutch. I looked quote unquote 'sexy' no matter what," she said. "I could hide behind it. As soon as I didn't have all that hair, I had to let my face hang out. I felt more confident than I had in a really long time. And it felt really good. Maybe to most people long hair is prettier. But then what?"

Stewart will be in the latest cover of Marie Claire magazine which will hit newsstands in August.
