Five-Year-Old Kid Discovers A Hidden Camera In The Bathroom Of A Starbucks [PHOTOS]

Starbucks lovers probably love the franchise's bathrooms just as much as they love the brand's coffee. But after a recent incident, things are definitely about to change.

Just recently, a five-year-old boy found a hidden camera phone within the ladies' bathroom of a Starbucks store. Placed under the sink, the device was hidden behind rolls of toilet paper.

The Daily Meal reports that the Starbucks store in question is located in Lancaster, California (near Avenue K and 10th Street West). Discovered just on Thursday at approximately 10:30AM, the camera phone was turned on when found and was faced directly at the toilet.

The mother of the five-year-old recalled the incident. "My son used the restroom first and I used the restroom after him. I noticed he was staring at the sink a little bit perplexed. I asked him what was wrong and he said, 'Mommy, why is there a phone under there?'"

The woman then checked under the sink and found the mobile phone. After which, the mother told Starbucks employees, who then contacted the sheriff's department.

The unidentified woman also cited, "It's such a violation of privacy. Not only of mine, but my son."

Lt. Joseph Fender of the Lancaster Sheriff's Station said, "The deputies discovered that the cellphone was running in a video-recording motion."

The police claim that they have no idea how long the camera had been turned on or who was on the other end of the footage being recorded. Rest assured, the occurrence is currently being investigated by the police with the use of security footage within the vicinity.

Lt. Fender also added, "They were able to get some type of surveillance video from the location, however I don't know what the contents of the video are at this time."

"We are disturbed by this incident and take our obligation to provide a safe environment for our customers and partners (employees) very seriously. Our store partners took swift action as soon as they became aware of the incident by immediately alerting the Sheriff's Department of the situation," said Starbucks spokesman Jaime Riley to KTLA.
