'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Comic-Con Trailer: Trouble In Alexandria? [VIDEO]

Fans of the AMC hit series 'The Walking Dead' descended upon the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) like a horde of walkers in search of fresh meat. Luckily for them, the show's panel delivered some tasty tidbits on what to expect in the sixth season.

The panel also offered a viewing of the new trailer for 'The Walking Dead' Season Six. The Comic-Con trailer is four minutes long and offers a thorough look into what to expect in the new season.

It also shows glimpses at the tension between Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Morgan (Lennie James), as well as Rick's attempts to make the Alexandria residents stronger.

What the trailer did not show was any hints on whether the Wolves will be an immediate threat on the residents of Alexandria. Showrunner Scott M. Gimple had previously confirmed that there will be several threats in the new season, but did not specify whether he meant the bloodthirsty Wolves.

"There are multiple threats, even in the first half of the season. And sort of different versions of threats we've seen before," Gimple told EW. "The first three episodes are quite intense, and the cast and crew are - we just shot them out of a cannon directly into another cannon that we shot them out of again."

There were several clues pointing to one backstory that will be dealt with, on the mysterious young Erin (Katelyn Nacon) who befriended Carl (Chandler Riggs) in the fifth season. The character had previously hesitated to tell Carl what happened to her before she ended up in Alexandria, however the trailer indicates that she survived on her own.

One of the new characters already announced to appear is Heath, who will be played by Corey Hawkins. In the trailer, there is a quick glimpse of Heath alongside Glenn (Steven Yeun) fighting off walkers.

'The Walking Dead' Season Six will premiere on AMC on October 11, 2015.
