Last fall, comedian Hannibal Buress became viral after one of his stand-up routines pointed out that beloved actor and comedian Bill Cosby had been accused of rape numerous times in the past without it damaging the public's perception on him, and the joke ended stirring up a series of new allegations against the comedian - but one person has continued to defend him, as Whoopi Goldberg's Cosby defense continues.
Ever since the scandal broke out a few months back, Whoopi Goldberg's Cosby defense has continued, as she's called a "patron saint of lost causes on 'The View'" by The Washington Post, as the Oscar winner insists that Cosby is innocent until proven guilty.
According to The Daily Mail, Whoopi Goldberg's Cosby defense has maybe reached its most extreme point, as every other member of the panel now accuses the actor and comedian of being guilty of the sexual allegations against him, while she continues to say he's innocent until proven guilty.
The Wrap reports that Whoopi Goldberg's Cosby defense saw the comedienne going on a rant last Wednesday, as she claimed she was being threatened by other members of the panel because she continued to defend Cosby.
"Here's the deal: This is 'The View' and that was my opinion," went Whoopi Goldberg's Cosby defense last Wednesday, as the actress lost her temper. "Not any of you threatening me or telling me you're coming after me because you don't like what I said is going to change the fact that no one has convicted him, he has not been arrested, and the bottom line is that's the law-innocent, until proven guilty."
This is hardly the first time Goldberg gets into heated arguments on "The View" over the Bill Cosby scandal, as she had fought the issue with Rosie O'Donnell in the past, as seemingly the only voice defending the actor.
Earlier this week, AP released documents from a 2005 deposition where the "Cosby Show" star admitted to giving women Quaaludes before having sex with them, making Whoopi Goldberg's Cosby defense much harder to understand by "The View" co-hosts.
