Taco Bell Delivery: 200 California And Texas Restaurants Trial DoorDash Delivery, Get Tex-Mex At Home!

As patrons across the world grow increasingly busy and restaurants become more readily available to meet the challenge, some of the biggest food chains in the world have adopted their very own delivery systems, and Taco Bell's delivery is no exception, a few months after the Tex-Mex chain announced they'd start providing this service.

The chain had announced Taco Bell's delivery service back in the spring, and for now it's in the trial phase, with only a few select markets being chosen, namely Los Angeles, Orange County, the San Francisco Bay area and Dallas - with the hope to further expand in the future.

According to USA Today, Taco Bell's delivery sees the Mexican-inspired fast food chain teaming up with website DoorDash, an app specialized in delivery that will place the order on the nearest Taco Bell to your location and then take it to your home or office, notifying customers when the driver is near.

While there's no minimum order, there's a $3.99 flat free for the service, and users are encouraged to tip drivers. There's still no word about how much DoorDash is getting from the deal with Taco Bell.

"Even though it's the No. 1 request from consumers, we have to make sure we can give them an experience that's consistent with Taco Bell, and that's what we're working through," said the company's CEO, Brian Niccol, to Nation's Restaurant News, speaking about the new Taco Bell delivery. "We have to figure it out, and I can tell you right now we don't have it figured out."

According to Refinery29, the company has no plans to stop with Taco Bell's delivery, as the Yum! Brands-owned chain also intends to expand to catering, plus the addition of a loyalty program and new restaurants that could have open kitchens and eco-friendly containers - plus plans to get a new image.

Other major food companies are now attempting to add delivery to their services, including McDonald's and Starbucks.

So, if you're craving for burritos and are currently in one of the previously mentioned regions, it's time to try out the Taco Bell delivery!
