Disney Statue Bill Cosby REMOVED After Quaaludes Drug Admission – Disney World Cuts ‘Cosby Show’ Ties [PHOTO]

About two dozen women have stepped forward in varyingly public ways to speak about having been sexually abused in one way or another by comedy legend Bill Cosby, but it wasn't until this week that anything was proved, as recently opened 2005 court documents revealed he admitted giving Quaaludes to victims, which caused the Disney statue of Bill Cosby to be removed.

The Disney statue of Bill Cosby was on the Walt Disney World Resort until it was quietly taken off earlier this week, following the release of the controversial and deeply incriminating documents about the comedian and actor.

According to Orlando Sentinel, the Disney statue of Bill Cosby came down Tuesday night after the Orlando park was closed for the day, without any comment from the people at Disney, although it followed months of pressure for the statue, a bronze bust of the now controversial star, to be removed.

A few months back, Brittany Traitz Gavrilova, the niece of one of the comedian's victims (from Celebration, Florida), posted a petition on Change.org to have the Disney statue of Bill Cosby taken down.

"In light of recent circumstances it is prudent that the bust of actor Bill Cosby be removed from Disney's Florida theme park," read the petition to have the Disney statue of Bill Cosby taken down. "The Disney name is synonymous with family-friendly entertainment and with Mr. Cosby in the media daily facing accusations of sexual assault with the number of victims ever-climbing, it is inappropriate for Disney Parks to have a replica of Mr. Cosby's likeness on display."

However, The Wrap spoke to "an individual with knowledge of the removal," who stated that the decision to take down the bust didn't stem from the online petition but rather as an internal decision from Disney after the most recent events regarding the case.

The decision to take down the Disney statue of Bill Cosby is hardly the first time a company steps back from the actor, after Broadcasters Bounce and Centric TV announced they'd stop showing "Cosby Show" re-runs.
