Ghostbusters Reboot New Villain Neil Casey

The Ghostbusters reboot of American director Paul Feig already has four fantastic heroes:Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones. Ghostbusters heroes are nothing without a villain, so the production is having Neil Casey as well, as the film's Rowan, the main antagonist.

The details on Neil Casey's character for the film are being kept under hush for now. There were reports earlier indicating that the Ghostbusters main villain would be a "creepy mechanical genius." And the production's strong desire before to take on the part was Peter Dinklage who has been with Game of Thrones since 2011 and X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014).

The Ghostbusters reboot is written by Paul Feig and Kate Dippold, where the film centers around four New York women who team up to fight spirits and save the world. The cast are  Wiig and McCarthy as former partners Erin and Abby, McKinnon is McCarthy's new partner Jillian, and Jones is a New York City subway worker named Patty.

The reboot will also cast Chris Hemsworth as Kevin, the Ghostbusters' receptionist, while playing the role of the mayor of New York City will be Andy Garcia. Pat Kiernan the New York City's NY1 longtime morning anchor will also appear as a news anchor in the movie.

The American actress, voice actress, and comedian Cecily Strong is also said to be part of the Ghostbusters cast. Cecily Strong is a cast of Saturday Night Live and The Bronze (2015).

Director Paul Feig stated about the new film:

"I'm having a lot of fun playing with genres," "...I love the original film, but I also just love the idea of busting ghosts and kind of paranormal warriors. I thought, 'You know, if I could do this with the funny women I know and kind of just do a new origin story...' I'm more interested in what would happen today. You know, you see things on TV about ghosts, but none of it's real. What if, suddenly, something started happening? What happens when that just begins to happen to people?"
