Musicians can get excited when they find themselves onstage in a major music festival. However, Blur frontman Damon Albarn may have been a little too thrilled to play the recent Roskilde Festival in Denmark.
Albarn, who was invited to the event via his world music outfit Africa Express, performed with several artists including the Yeah Yeah Yeah's Nick Zimmer and Blur band member Graham Coxon. The gig stretched on to include covers of The Clash's song 'Should I Stay or Should I Go' as well as several Gorillaz songs.
The five-hour set finally ended at 4 AM, however Damon Albarn wanted to keep playing. "F--k what everyone says," he announced. "You want more, we're going to give you more."
The crowd cheered the Gorillaz vocalist on. However, the event security was not impressed. Damon Albarn was repeatedly asked to walk off the stage, but the singer kept ignoring their requests. Instead he asked the crowd to chant, "We want more."

Eventually, a large bouncer was summoned to escort Albarn off the stage. The Blur singer continued to refuse and was handily picked up by the bouncer, who carried Albarn despite the audience's protests.
Africa Express had an understandably lengthy set due to the sheer amount of musicians who are part of the outfit. The Africa Express lineup includes Songhoy Blues, Laura Mvula, Diabel Cissokho and Fatoumata Diawara.

Denmark's Roskilde Festival featured over 170 artists including Paul McCartney, Florence + the Machine, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Muse and Pharrell Williams. Over 100,000 people attended the event, which took place from June 27 to July 4.
Damon Albarn will be performing in another music festival in July. The singer's band Blur will be one of the headliners in the Beniccassim Festival in Spain. No word yet on whether security will need to haul Damon Albarn off the stage.
