The new penthouse is in Chelsea, and rents at $ 25,000 a month, which is double than what Katie now pays for her current apartment, where she has been since her divorce. But the premium is in the view. The single Mom can relax in the rooftop lounge, with a majestic view of the Manhattan skyline, the Empire State Building and the World Trade Center. The new address is at 201 West 17th St.
It is a spacious 2,400 sq feet mansion with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, with modern and sleek interiors.
Katie also maintains a home in Los Angeles, where she lives with Suri since her 2012 divorce. She appears in the TV series, "Ray Donovan". Her rise to fame came when she played Joey in "Dawson's Creek" and in the film, "Batman Begins." Her California house has 6 bedrooms, and set her back $ 3.79 million, which she purchased last year.
She was set to purchase her own NY property, and placed a bid for a 3,100 square feet unit, at $ 6.75 million, but her consultants advised her to rent for now, and to defer the purchase.
Suri has been missing out on Daddy days. Tom Cruise has been busy shooting for his latest film, 'Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation'. He is also expected to star in Top Gun 2, where he plays Maverick. The first installment of this film propelled Tom to stardom in 1986.
