Johnny Depp Visits Children's Hospital Dressed as Jack Sparrow [PHOTOS]

Johnny Depp took time off from filming the latest 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' to visit a children's hospital in costume as Captain Jack Sparrow.

The actor made a surprise appearance at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, Queensland. He kept his trip under wraps, but it didn’t take long for Johnny’s good deed to hit social media.

Johnny showed up dressed from head to toe in full Captain Jack Sparrow apparel. He was pictured greeting and hugging a handful of sick children, and even took selfies with them.

The actor made sure to play his iconic character to a tee, and was photographed sitting bedside to some of the kids who were too sick to stand.

Depp delighted kids like Max Bennett, a seven-year-old with transverse myelitis. Bennett was in a medically induced coma just a few weeks ago.

"He was going from room to room seeing all the kids who couldn't get out of bed," Rachel Bennett, Max's mother, told ABC Australia. "We waited out of the front of one of the rooms, and he came up to us and had a really good chat to Max."

"It was really beautiful. Everyone kept on trying to move him on, but he kept on coming back," Rachel told the news outlet. "He came on the condition that he wasn't pushed along and crowded by adults and he could spend as much time as he wanted with the kids."

Like a true pirate, Depp left behind some treasures for his little friends, he gave Max golden coins as souvenir.

But it wasn't his loot that made an impact for Max, it was the actor's friendly antics.

Max said that the highlight of the visit for him is that Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow "tied a knot in his hair to make a beard. That was my favorite part," Max recalled.
