We're still a ways to go from the release of Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, the final instalment of the smash hit young adult series. Entertainment Weekly has just released a new photo still from the film to whet your appetite in the meantime.
The photo features Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss being suited up by escort and stylist Effie Trinket, played by Elizabeth Banks. The image doesn't reveal much, but hints at the coming battle that will take place between the Capital and the rebels.
Francis Lawrence, the director of the much awaited finale, says we can expect some "serious girl power" in the film.
The first trailer for the film was released on June 9 and showed Lawrence's Katniss leading the rebel forces banding together to fight President Snow (Donald Sutherland).
Those hungry for more Mockingjay news should also be sure to tune in to comedian and talk show host Conan O'Brien's broadcasts live from Comic Con in San Diego. Lawrence is set to appear on the show on July 9 alongside her co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. There's sure to be some interesting tidbits to be learned so diehard fans should definitely tune in.
Mockingjay Part 2 arrives in 2D, 3D, and IMAX theaters worldwide on November 2, 2015. Academy winner Jennifer Lawrence will reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen, the teen heroine at the centre of the story's conflict as she looks to overthrow the oppressive government of Panem led by Donald Sutherland's President Snow. Joining her is an all-star cast which includes Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Melark, Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne, Woody Harrelson as mentor Haymitch Abernathy. The late Philip Seymour Hoffman is also slated to appear in the film. Perhaps the last time audiences can see the Academy Award Winner on the big screen.
