Mad Max: Fury Road - First Look at New Prequel Comic

Director George Miller plots the action for Mad Max: Fury Road, he recruited some of the top comic-book illustrators to storyboard the epic battle scenes. Adding up for the film's action, the movie maker brought in co-screenwriter Nico Lathouris and Fury Road storyboard artist Mark Sexton. Sexton has written a series for DC Comics that served as an introduction to the powerful summer blockbuster.

Mad Max: Fury Road as Max Part 1 is about to be released by DC's Vertigo imprint, and will be available in stores and digital services on Wednesday.

Max Part 1 will start with several intense panels illustrating Max Rockatansky's greatest hits. It will be the comic version of key scenes from Miller's original 1979 Mad Max.

The scenes are about the yellow Interceptor, the Pursuit Special and the murder of Max's wife and child. It will also depict the 1981's The Road Warrior and 1984's Beyond Thunderdome as a message of congratulation to Tina Turner.

Then the comic will feature Max continuing on his way and eventually is lead to the ill-fated Wasteland encounter, where the events of Fury Road erupted.

This is how DC Comics describes the action in Max Part 1, "Max. The warrior Max. Haunted by his past and fated to wander the brutal Wasteland in search of his better self. To do so, Max Rockatansky enters Gastown, the only source of guzzoline for thousands of miles. Here he finds the final piece that he needs to rebuild his Interceptor - the powerful Boss 351 engine. But in order to acquire the fabled V8 in a world where car parts are worth more than a man's life, Max must survive a gladiatorial battle in a place called... Thunderdome Plus!"

The comic would look more like the original 1979 Mad Max rather than The Road Warrior and Fury Road. There has never been a concern about the timeline of the Mad Max movies, but with this comics, people can connect between the grungy, crumbling society of the first movie and the bonkers post-apocalyptic theme of the later films.
