Ever since he was 13 years old, the youngest singer of the pop band Jonas Brothers has been fighting this dangerous disease, and Nick Jonas' diabetes battle has been well reported, as the singer has often spoken about diabetes, trying to bring awareness to the cause - and now, one fitness company has deliberately wronged anyone with this condition.
Nick Jonas' diabetes became the focus of worldwide attention earlier this week, as the 22 year-old singer lashed out at CrossFit, one of the world's leading fitness companies, for posting a dangerously insensitive tweet that attempted to joke at the expense of diabetes patients.
According to International Business Times, Nick Jonas' diabetes controversy began when CrossFit took to its official account to tweet a fake Coca-Cola ad reading "Open Diabetes" referencing a can of the soda drink, with a terrible comment from the company's CEO, Greg Glassman, that prompted users to toast for their "dead homies."

Understandably, this caused Nick Jonas, a diabetes type-1 patient for the past 10 years, to take action, and, as People Magazine reports, he immediately called the company out on Twitter to his over 9.6 million followers, saying it was "not cool" for them to make jokes at the expense of a very nuanced disease that endangers the lives of millions.
"This is not cool. Please know and understand the difference between type one and type [2] diabetes before making ignorant comments," the singer tweeted, quoting CrossFit's original post. "Ignorant comments. Sensitivity to all diseases, and proper education on the cause and day to day battle is important."
Jonas most often makes headlines from his personal life, having dated Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez in the past.
According to Quartz, Jonas' comments weren't the only backlash CrossFit received over the post, which is still up in their Twitter feed for the world to see, with many taking offense over joining type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as the first type is actually an autoimmune disorder not caused by exposure to sugar of any kind.
Millions have supported Nick Jonas' diabetes rant on Twitter.
