Those children who grew up watching different colored rangers teaming up to become Megazords are all grown up now and purchasing memorabilia of those things they used to love during the 90s, and as the beloved show gets a different set of reboots, there's even better news for fans: there's a new Power Rangers comic on the way!
The upcoming Power Rangers comic isn't the first one released regarding the Ranger-verse, but it's the latest focused on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, as BOOM! Studios teams up with Saban Brands to create a comic book series completely dedicated to fans of the old 90s show.

According to io9, Boom Studios has recently announced they now have the license to create Power Rangers comics, and they'll be making a new ongoing series completely based off the "Mighty Morphins" era, which would be following the original characters: Red Ranger Jason, Pink Ranger Kimberly, Yellow Ranger Trini, Blue Ranger Billy, Black Ranger Zack and Green Ranger Tommy, who will be battling Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa. Crunchy Roll reports that the new Power Rangers comic is just around the corner, too, as the first one-pagers will be available for sale during the San Diego Comic Con later this month, and they'll be sold in blind bag packaging. That'll just be the preview of the Power Rangers comic, though, as BOOM has announced these will be six one-shot and single page comics that will be focusing on each of the Rangers present at the SDCC, with a piece of art created by Goñi Montes on one side and a comic written by Mairghread Scott and drawn by Daniel Bayliss on the other side.

"We have big, big plans that will build on the core universe of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," the editor-in-chief Matt Gagnon of BOOM told The Hollywood Reporter. "We can't give too much away just yet, but the story we're kicking off with is vast in scope. Fans of BOOM! know we treat the existing properties we collaborate on with a focus on authenticity and quality. That's the same sensibility we're applying here."
Go, go, Power Ragers comic!
