'Terminator: Genisys' Star Emilia Clarke Discusses Jon Snow's Death, Daenerys Targaryen's Fate in 'Game of Thrones'

The unexpected ending of the 'Game of Thrones' season finale was shocking not only to fans of the show, but also to the stars of the HBO series.

'Terminator: Genisys' star Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in 'Game of Thrones,' admitted that Jon Snow's death was "heartbreaking." The actress recently spoke to ABC News about her new film as well as her reaction to the show's last script.

"Obviously, I read all of the scripts and I get a little emotional but that one I was like, just burst into tears, stuck it in the freezer, called [show producers] David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss] and was like 'What the hell? You can't do this!'"

Clarke also did a little investigation on her own. She admits she went out for a drink with Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, to get the actor to tell the truth about his character's fate.

"I was like 'you've got to tell me the truth' and no matter how many beers that boy drunk he was still like, 'Yup, dude, I'm dead. That's all I can say,'" Clarke said.

Jon Snow was not the only major character who was killed off in the season finale. Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) also met his end in 'Mother's Mercy,' but his demise was not nearly as jaw-dropping as Jon Snow's death.

Clarke was also asked if Dany will be safe, and remain alive until the next few seasons. The actress responded, "I keep asking them and they are like, 'You are going to have to wait and see, and I'm like, 'Oh, that's really funny but seriously, am I going to die?' So who knows?"

Daenerys Targaryen's fate may be unclear, but Emilia Clarke is definitely heading for box office success. The actress played a young Sarah Connor in 'Terminator: Genisys,' which has already made over $2.3 million in just one day.
