The iconic director known for his witty dialogues as well as his love of comic books (he even named his daughter Harley Quinn after the Batman villainess) has now showed the incredible Kevin Smith weight loss for the world to see, after the 44 year-old shed 85 pounds.

In an effort to improve his quality of life, this Kevin Smith weight loss (shown through his Twitter) marks the second time the iconic moviemaker sheds a large amount of pounds, but it seems this one's for the long run, as Smith shares the ultimate secret in his healthier diet: juicing!

According to Yahoo! Celebrity, prior to Kevin Smith's weight loss, the writer and director had confessed he'd been overweight his entire life, saying it had a lot to do with the fact that he's the third child of his family, which meant his parents were too "tired" to insist on him to eat his vegetables.

Today reports that Kevin Smith's weight loss was inspired by something that happened to him back in 2010, when he was advised to purchase two seats for security measures on a Southwest Airlines flight, as he was too large to occupy just one of the seats.

Besides being the inspiration for his documentary film "Too Fat For Forty," the incident was a wake-up call: by the next year, Smith had already shed 65 pounds, although he gained some of the weight back.

According to Business Insider, though, Kevin Smith's weight loss didn't become a full commitment until he saw "Fed Up," an Oscar-nominated documentary about sugar consumption that prompted him to change his lifestyle for the better.

Smith's secrets? After realizing how much sugar there is on most of the things he used to drink, he's now changed sodas and the like for juices, which he says has boosted his energy level and good humor in general.

As far as whether physical activity's behind Kevin Smith's weight loss, the man who directed Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in "Dogma" says there's not much exercising in his diet: he just takes long walks up and down a hill nearby his home with his dogs, to "see who starts breathing heavy and sweating first."
