Hollywood's power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie flew to London to have a tea meeting with Prince William and Kate Middleton for the first time ever on Friday.
"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Pitt at Kensington Palace on Friday afternoon," a spokesperson from the palace told US Weekly. "They discussed their shared interest in combatting the illegal wildlife trade."
The source added that the royal couple was "really excited" about their meeting, that they waited for the arrival of the Mr. And Mrs. Smith stars outside their home with almost two-year-old son, Prince George.
"Everyone got on splendidly," the spokesperson shared. "Brad and Angelina spent much longer with the Duke and Duchess than planned. They ended up staying for almost a few hours."
Brad and Angelina, who are parents to Maddox, Pax, Sahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox bought a gift for William and Kate in celebration of Princess Charlotte's arrival in May.
Queen Elizabeth has made Jolie a female knight by honoring the UN Special Envoy for Refugee Issues with an "Honorary Dame Commander" title in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace in October 2014.
In 2001, the United Nations made the humanitarian actress an Ambassador of Goodwill for the organization's refugee agency. According to UNHCR's website, Jolie has donated more than $5 million to the organization since that year. The actress then received the UN Global Humanitarian Action Award in 2005 for her activism on global issues.
Brad and Angelina's London visit was part of the mission of their Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which funds the Namibian N/a'an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary "for the care of injured wildlife and to help minimize conflict between humans and wild animals."
US added that Jolie was also set to meet with London's Foreign & Commonwealth Office on Monday for her UK Foreign Policy project and initiative against sexual violence in war zones.
