Roselyn Sanchez No Longer A Co-Host In The Miss USA Pageant: After Univision, Cristian De La Fuente And Others Pulled Out

After Donald Trump made an offensive remark about Mexican immigrants, claiming that Mexico are sending rapist and criminals over the border. Performers who are slated to perform in the Miss USA are starting to withdraw from the prestigious event including Roselyn Sanchez .

The beautiful Latina Sanchez is due to co-host the pageant together with tactor Cristian De La Fuente, who already pulled out. The 42 year old Puerto Rican announced that she will no longer appear as the co- host in the pageant.

Sanchez said in a statement to Billboard on Thursday, "I was very excited and proud to have been invited to participate in Miss USA, but as a Latina, that is now inconceivable. Although I am not Mexican, I am Puerto Rican and a proud Latina."

"His comments were an insult to our culture. I won't sponsor anything produced by Donald Trump," she added.

The Latina actress who was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico also expressed on Facebook how proud she is for being a Latina and says she will not tolerate Trump, "As a Latina, proud of my roots, culture and all that we have contributed to this nation, I decided to cancel my participation as co-host in the Miss USA pageant. and Not tolerate the so disrespectful and hurtful words out of the mouth of Mr. Trump."

Univision the biggest Spanish-language broadcaster in the United States co-owned by Donald Trump also announced on Thursday that they will be cancelling the telecast of the Miss USA pageant as a sign of protest for Trumps offensive remarks.

Donald Trump said on Fox that he will sue the Univision for breach of contract.

While Trump's camp is threatening to sue Univision, NBC network is reportedly re -evaluating Trump's role as a host of Celebrity apprentice.

J.Balvin, a Colombian artist who is slated to perform in the pageant also pulled out from the upcoming event.
