British rock band Queen are now the latest rockers to get involved in the beer business. The group has just lauched a new brew to mark the 40th anniversary of their 1975 hit single “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
Queen Bohemian Lager is described as a “golden hoppy” beer and will be brewed in the Czech Republic, containing e 4.7% ABV.

It follows their release of Killer Queen vodka, also named after their hit single.
Killer Queen vodka was released last September on the 40th anniversary of the multiplatinum single of the same name, which was featured on their 1974 album Sheer Heart Attack.
The drink was launched to by the band to honor Freddie Mercury, as it was the drink of choice of the legendary frontman.

The link with Bohemian Rhapsody sort of reflects the lager history too.
Lager is originally German, it became closely associated with Bohemia, now a part of the Czech Republic in the mid-19th century, when the town of Plzen became the center of the brewing industry.
A pale lager was developed there that became known as pilsner.
Queen's lager bottles will carry an image from A Night at the Opera and will have the distinctive Queen crest, designed by late frontman Freddie Mercury during his time at Ealing Art College.
The beverage will hit shelves in Europe this summer ahead of a planned worldwide rollout. A 12-pack of 330ml bottles are priced at £20 ($31) and a crate will cost £36 ($56).

Many rock bands have put out signature beers in recent years, including Kiss, AC/DC, Motorhead, Pearl Jam and Iron Maiden, whose Trooper ale has been quite successful since its release in 2013.
Queen's guitarist Brian May recently said that the band would be interested in headlining Glastonbury in the future with former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert.
Lambert linked up with the group for a series of dates earlier this year, and May has described the singer as the only person they have found capable of filling in for Freddie Mercury.
