Kanye West Admits He Was Wrong For Interrupting Beck at the Grammys

Four months after his scene stealing stunt at the Grammy's, Rapper Kanye West owned up to his mistake during an interview with the Sunday Times.

At the Awards Ceremony, West walked up on stage as singer/songwriter Beck was giving his acceptance speech for the Album of The Year Award he had just won. It was a moment that conjured flashbacks to West's now infamous hijacking of Taylor Swift's speech at the MTV Music Video Awards years ago. However this time West stopped short of grabbing the microphone and returned to his seat.

Both incidents revolved around West's belief that pop superstar and close friend Beyonce was the more deserving winner of the award in question. After the Grammys West told the press that Beck should 'respect artistry' and hand the award over to her.

Kanye Previously apologized to Beck via twitter but does so again In the Times interview. West doubles back on his past statements, saying he was wrong.

"I'm fine to apologize for inaccuracies," Kanye told the paper. "You know, I send flowers for inaccuracies. I talked to Beck's wife, and I think I had a point about Beyonce's album, but I think I was inaccurate with the concept of a gentleman who plays 14 instruments not respecting artistry."

West also fired back at critics saying the amount of hate he received over his comments was unwarranted:

"Isn't it amazing that people are so constantly shocked by the commonly agreed-in truth? How much bullsh** are we in if, every single time I give not just my opinion, but a vast 80%, 90% opinion, I get into that much trouble? When the truth is a mass opinion. That's not about accuracy, it's the definition of truth."

West's next album rumoured to be titled 'So Help Me God', is scheduled to drop some time this year.
