A few weeks ago, Holly Madison revealed some shocking excerpts from her new tell-all book, "Down The Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny."
Some shocking information like Madison's revelation of how "manipulative" Hugh Hefner was to the Playboy Bunnies and her own consideration of committing suicide due to depression were among the few things shared in the book.
Now, 89-year-old Hef is breaking his silence and reacts to Holly Madison's "[choice] to rewrite history [...] to stay in the spotlight."
"Over the course of my life, I've had more than my fair share of romantic relationships with wonderful women. Many moved on to live happy, healthy and productive lives, and I'm pleased to say remain dear friends today," Hef told Entertainment Tonight.
Hugh Hefner then continued, "Sadly, there are a few who have chosen to rewrite history in an attempt to stay in the spotlight. I guess, as the old saying goes: You can't win 'em all!"
Madison also shared in her new autobiography on how living in the Playboy Mansion was a "nightmare." She also recalled the first time she met Hefner - when he immediately offered her some Quaaludes, which he called "thigh openers."
In the book, Holly also revealed that when she intended to leave the Playboy mansion, the Playboy mogul attempted to bribe her with $3 million in his last will and testament.
The conditions stipulated that Madison had to still be living in the mansion to avail of the estate that was left to her.
Holly Madison and Hugh Hefner called it quits back in 2008 after sharing five years together. Madison moved on to marry Pasquale Rotella (the wedding was in Disneyland!) in 2013. The couple now has a two-year-old daughter named Rainbow Aurora.
Holly Madison's new book has been available on shelves since Tuesday. Check out how Holly Madison is firing back to Hugh Hefner's criticisms here.
