Conspiracy Theories Increase After FDA Announced Mandatory Removal of Artificial Trans Fat in Manufactured Food

After the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that they are giving manufacturers three years to completely remove artificial trans-fat from the food supplies which is considered to be one of the causes of heart disease. The FDA's determination to ban trans- fats seems to be arouse conspiracy theories from the feds'.

According to NYPost, accounting the Facebook status or posting in a group that instigates some alarming lines that state, "The FDA finally admits they've allowed a cancer-causing agent into our food!

"The corporations who fund the cancer-causing food are the same ones that fund the media. Obviously."

After Susan Mayne who is the director of the FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, said that, "We made this determination based on the available scientific evidence and the findings of expert panels." The website also stated that the FDA's expert panel have been erroneous before with some of their scientific evidences' and could most likely have a setback as such possible to happen in the future.

According to the site, the real problem with the ban issue is that "it lends legitimacy to the trendy argument that food companies are trying to kill us because that will somehow increase their profit."

They also added that the FDA should pay attention to the websites that's been posting "fake health on the Internet" instead of making people believe that food corporations are the villain, and are poisoning consumers for the profit.

This week, the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) banned trans-fat from the food supply as they quoted that the movement will "save many thousands of lives." FDA found out that that the main ingredient used to improve the shelf life of food supplies, which is known as partially hydrogenated oil or PHOs is not safe for the consumers. The action aims to fight against heart disease.

The FDA decided that the manufacturers are not allowed to use PHOs after June 18, 2018. Giving the companies three years to prepare for the transition.
