Heartthrob singer Justin Bieber just revealed that he wants to start designing a menswear line. Even after years of talking about his intentions, the "Baby" singer still hasn't made the jump.
In an interview with Women's Wear Daily, Justin reveals what's holding him back.
Bieber shares that he doesn't want to launch any clothing line until he feels ready. "I haven't lost that passion. It's just such a big deal. I just want to make sure it's perfect and right and take my time with it," he said.
The "Beauty and the Beat" singer says his apprehension is attributed to Kanye West's experience. "I know Kanye [West] has been working on his stuff for years and failed and came back and tried again and failed."
The "Where Are U Now" singer continued, "It's about trial and error, and I don't know if I'm ready for that yet. Fashion's definitely really important, but I got to make sure I'm ready for the failing part of it because I know that comes with it."
"It's not easy. It's not like putting out an album," Justin Bieber added.
The 21-year-old superstar has long been associated with the fashion industry. Fans are sure to grab a hold of his clothing line if and when it comes out, given his loyal Beliebers.
In fact, Justin also revealed how close he is to Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing. The fashion designer was the one who dressed the pop star in that custom gold brocade embroidered blazer at the Met Gala.
Justin also shared that he and Rousteing are very close friends to the point that they speak to one another "on a weekly basis."
Bieber gushed about how he was able to overcome his rebellion stage. His infamous black and white Calvin Klein ad with Lara Stone was a "transitioning tool" that helped him embrace adulthood.
Watch out for Justin Bieber's cameo in the upcoming film, "Zoolander 2." He will be "[starting] the movie off" with his parkour moves.
