It seems like the entire world is looking forward to see two DC superheroes go head to head in the upcoming movie 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.' After all, the two primary members of the Justice League are also the most popular comic book characters in the DC Cinematic Universe.
However, Henry Cavill, who will play Clark Kent in the DC film, wants everyone to know that his character will not get into a fight with Batman too easily. The 'Immortals' actor recently spoke about the movie at the GQ Style and Dunhill Party in London.
"Superman wouldn't get into a cage fight with just anyone," Cavill told WWD. "Imagine, you wouldn't get into a fight with someone if they hit you and you didn't feel it, barely registered it. Superman wouldn't even notice; he's not quick to engage."
Cavill's statement is somehow tied to the movie's official synopsis, which suggests that it is Batman (played by Ben Affleck) who sees Superman as a threat, and not the other way around.
In a separate interview with MTV, Cavill told fans to expect anything in the movie, except a 'Man of Steel' sequel. "I wouldn't call this a Superman sequel. This is Batman versus Superman, so it's a separate entity altogether," the actor said. "It's introducing the Batman character, and expanding upon the universe that was kicked off by 'Man Of Steel.'"
He added a cryptic message as well. "So yeah, watch the space. See how it turns out. Again, everything can change in the editing room."
Cavill will star with Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander in 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E,' which is the feature-length reboot of the hit TV show of the same name. It will be released on August 14, 2015.
'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' is scheduled for release on March 25, 2016.
