Ed Sheeran Surprises Teenage Girl With An Impromptu Duet

Ed Sheeran suddenly joined a 13-year-old Canadian teenager who was performing at a shopping center last Sunday.

Sydney Bourbeau was singing Sheeran's hit "Thinking Out Loud" when the British crooner joined her on stage to sing the chorus of the song.

The ginger-haired singer was in a nearby store when he heard someone singing the familiar tune. Along with his group, he went straight to the source, a small stage where people were performing to raise funds for the Edmonton Humane Society, according to Billboard.

Bourbeau, who stared at Sheeran as soon as he got on board, still continued singing despite having the singer within a few inches away from her. He then proceeded to provide another voice to the performance. He gave her a hug before leaving the stage with his bodyguards.

On Twitter, Bourbeau said that her encounter with Ed Sheeran was the best moment of her life.

Not only did the audience and many onlookers record the event, Sheeran's cousin Murray Cummings made sure that he took a video as well. He has footage of the entire event and uploaded it on Twitter, even joking that Sheeran "ruined" her performance.

Bourbeau has been a big fan of Ed Sheeran since 2011. Michael Cathrea, Resonate Music School President said, "That's a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He happened to be there, she's singing his song.. It was amazing that she was actually able to keep it together and finish." He added, "It was shock, as if she had seen a ghost."

Not only did Sheeran make a fan happy, but his quick apperance was able to raise $10,500 for the Edmonton Humane Society.

Ed Sheeran's surprises did not stop with barging in on Bourbeau's performance. Sources state that the singer's manager even contacted the teenager and invited her to attend Sheeran's concert yesterday, held at the Saskatoon SaskTel Centre.
