Pornhub plans to bring hardcore porn to outer space as it launched a campaign on Indiegogo to raise $3.4 million for their space "Sexploration" project. This crowdsourcing effort will accept donations to support the film production requirements of this "astronaughty" experience 68 miles away from Earth.
Almost a week into the campaign and they have managed to gather more than 1,000 people to donate $51,617. The company has about 54 days left to accomplish their goal.
Set to be released in 2016, the porn site's vice president, Corey Price, told Huffington Post in an email that if everything goes well, the adult film stars and crew will undergo six months of space travel training to ensure safety as they bump and grind their way past the Stratosphere at zero gravity.
"The production of the video will begin when the spaceship takes flight. Filming will commence upon takeoff and as the ship climbs, so too will the lovemaking," Price stated. "As soon as the ship reaches its maximum altitude there will be weightlessness for at least a few minutes. Our actors will be having sex and climaxing within that time frame -- ideally, of course."
This porno will star Johnny Sins and Eva Lovia, who are very excited for this opportunity. "The bragging rights alone are worth it. We don't know if any astronauts have had sex in space, so we'd be the first to publicly admit it," said Lovia.
The 26-year-old also shared this is going to be her first time to "do it" on a plane or space ship, since she finds public bathroom sex disgusting.
Price added that they have a well-experienced six-person film crew, which makes him confident that they could produce enjoyable, quality porn.
Pornhub spokesperson Mike Williams also said they are currently talking to some private space travel companies like Virgin Galactic and Space X. He refused to disclose the names of the specific companies since nothing has been formally signed yet.
