Steve Harwell from the band Smash Mouth lost his temper and expressed his anger after being pelted with pieces of bread by the audience while performing at The Taste of Fort Collins event held in Colorado, Sunday.
The loaves of bread that were being thrown at him and his band were given for free by the vendor booths to the concert attendees.
Harwell was pissed and the 48-year-old singer stopped in the middle of the set and shouted at the crowd. "I'm gonna beat your ass, whoever you are out there," he said. "Walk your bad ass up here, Come on, bad ass. I'm telling you right now I'm gonna bear the f**k out of you. You f****ing, punk, b**ch."
As he was spewing curse words and insults, the crowd began to boo Harwell, according to reports.
He then proceeded to jump down the stage and attacking a few people in the audience who he believes threw the food at them.
The whole incident lasted for about 3 minutes before the lead vocalist was subdued by security guards and escorted off the stage, still in front of a disappointed audience.
The whole 'tantrum' became viral on social media, with onlookers heading to sites like Twitter to let the world know what had just happened. Some commented on Harwell's rude behavior during the concert, while others made fun of his fuming reaction over the loaves of bread, making bread-related puns using their hit songs.
Just witnessed a grown man throw the biggest tantrum over bread. #smashmouth #tasteoffortcollins #
