Jason Derulo 'Want to Want Me': Third Week at Top Spot in UK Charts

Jason Derulo's 'Want to Want Me' has remained at the number 1 spot in the U.K. Official Charts, sweeping off 'Cheerleader' by OMI and the Furious 7 single 'See You Again' by Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth.

The new single comes from the artist's 2015 album 'Everything is 4.' His previous chart-toppers include 'In My Head' in 2010, 'Don't Wanna Go Home' in 2011 and the catchy 'Talk Dirty' in 2013.

"I just want to say thank you to all the fans for giving me this tremendous pleasure" he said. "It never gets old. Honestly, it feels just as good every time, if not better!"

Derulo added, "I worked really hard on this album for about eight months, so to begin llike this with a bang is a real blessing."

On his official Instagram account, the pop star also celebrated reaching the Top 40 charts in America, with 'Want to Want Me' ranking number one as well, beating Wiz Khalifa again and Taylor Swift.

'Want to Want Me', which debuted earlier this March, is personally written by Derulo along with other artists Sam Martin, Lindy Robbins, Mitch Allan and the song producer Ian Kirkpatrick.

The record 'Everything is 4' dropped on June 2 and is believed to be the singer's response to his critics who have tagged him as an Usher-wannabe.

Derulo seems out to prove these naysayers wrong as he is not only dominating the singles chart, but also in performances around the world. Last year, he gained success with his Abu Dhabi Corniche live tour, which was originally set as part of the Abu Dhabi One Grand Prix celebrations.

Jason Derulo is also set to perform a few shows around the country this year, beginning with Belgium on July 9. He will also be in the US, starting off in Iowa, Wisconsin and Washington.
