ABFF Celebrates Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's New HBO Series 'Ballers'

The American Black Film Festival ABFF together with the HBO hosted a prestigious event at the Skylark on Friday night to celebrate the network's new series 'Ballers,' starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and DuléHill.

The story of the 'Baller' is based on the professional football world, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is one of the executive producer as well as Mark Wahlberg. The new series will air at 10: pm on June 21 on HBO with weekly half-hour pilot episodes.

Held at the cocktail lounge on the 30th floor the room was filled by the Ballers, among them is the star actor himself Dulé Hill with the wide receiver for the New York Giants- Victor Cruz, TV personality and businesswoman Bevy Smith along with A.J. Calloway and many more famous personalities.

The Source talked to Dulé during the event, and the actor explains how he does everything to properly execute his role in the series. The actor said, "That's a deep question, but life is humorous. In the mist of all the drama we have in our lives, you're always going to find funny ways to look at it." He also added, it was easy for him to let his character come to life because he is working with the wonderful actors.

As they celebrate the new HBO series 'Ballers', just last week, NBC Sports reported that the said TV program will use the NFL team's logo without asking formal consent from the NFL team.

But just as reported, HBO is totally aware about the legality of ownership and to obtain their consent is legally unnecessary. The spokesperson of the said network also clears that the NFL team has nothing to do with the TV program.

Meanwhile, NFL refuses to share any of their thoughts about the issue.
