Barely starting out a Foo Fighters concert at the Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden, the singer attempted to jump to another stage and ended up falling to the ground, concerning everyone about the Dave Grohl breaks leg situation, but he wasn't going to let a bandage keep him from rocking.
According to BBC, Dave Grohl breaks his leg onstage barely two songs into the set, when Foo Fighters concerts will usually last for about two and a half hours - and it happened when the singer attempted to jump on a ramp but ended up falling into the security area between stage and audience.
Following the Dave Grohl breaks leg situation, the singer spoke to his Swedish audience, telling him he thought he'd "really" broken his leg - and promising audience that, while he needed to go to the hospital for a fix-up, he'd come back and finish the show.
"I think I just broke my leg," the singer said to the crowd, as shown by a video taken by a fan of the band. "I think I really broke my leg! You have my promise right now that the Foo Fighters, we're gonna come back and finish this show. But right now, ladies and gentlemen, I'm gonna go to the hospital, I'm gonna fix my leg. But then I'm gonna come back, and we're gonna play for you again! I'm so sorry!"
Rolling Stone Magazine reports that, after the Dave Grohl breaks leg situation, the singer handed show to drummer Taylor Hawkins, considered one of the best in the world, who went on to perform a set of covers while the "Everlong" singer went to the hospital.
According to The Guardian, the multi-talented rocker fulfilled his promise, coming back onstage an hour after the incident - and saying that, while he might not be able to run and jump, he could definitely sing and play the guitar!
Hours after the Dave Grohl breaks leg incident, the band posted Grohl's X-Ray showing that, indeed, the bone had been broken!
