Jennifer Lawrence Steps Out in Daisy Dukes After New Hunger Games: Mockingjay Trailer Release [VIDEO]

Jennifer Lawrence beats the heat by wearing a pair of daisy dukes while stepping out on Wednesday afternoon in New York City.

The 24-year-old Hunger Games actress was spotted heading into an apartment building followed closely behind by her bodyguard, who held tight to her pet dog Pippi.

She displayed her long and trim pins in a pair of cut-off denim short shorts. She wore a comfortable, baggy gray cropped long-sleeved top.

The star left her long blond tresses flow freely in loose waves underneath her hat. She accessorized with a gold pendant necklace and printed bag.

She then concealed her eyes behind oversized sunglasses while she strutted in a pair of black peep toe shoe-boots with chunky wooden heels as she was said to be looking at houses.

Jen was seen with yet another gray top the previous day as she stepped out following the release of the first trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.

The actress tucked in her sleeveless top and rocked a chic black mini skirt while leaving her toned legs on show.

Jennifer boosted up her already statuaesque frame in a pair of fashion-forward studded black mules. She kept her accessories to a minimum and was seen holding the same printed bucket bag.

She swept her long blond hair into a casual low ponytail. The star was barely wearing any makeup as she strolled along New York City’s Tribeca district.

Later in the evening, she arrived back at her hotel holding a brown paper bag.

Jen will be reprising her role as Katniss Everdeen in the new Hunger Games. The trailer for the second part of Mockingjay started off with Katniss saying, 'Nothing good is safe while Snow's alive. And I can't make another speech about it.'

It then shows the feisty Mockingjay leading an army of rebels to take down the corrupt government being lead by President Snow

The trailer also includes a quick glimpse of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in his final role as Plutarch Heavensbee.
