Game of Thrones: George R.R. Martin Oversees Adult Coloring Book with Bantam

'Game of Thrones' may not yet be over, since the season finale has yet to air next week. However, fans will have something to keep them occupied while waiting for the show's sixth season.

George R. R. Martin is reportedly involved with a new book project that is related to the series. According to Bantam Books, the author will oversee 'The Game of Thrones Coloring Book' that will be released by the publishing house.

The adult coloring book will feature 45 black and white illustrations by several fantasy illustrators. The names of the artists have not yet been announced.

'The Game of Thrones Coloring Book' will be published by fall this year. It is one of the many interim projects Martin has worked on with Bantam.

The author has previously collaborated with Linda Antonsson and Elio M. Garcia Jr. on "The World of Ice and Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and the Game of Thrones." The book featured illustrations of the history of Westeros as well as the family trees of the Houses in the Realm.

Martin is known for being protective of his work. He had previously responded to the negative criticisms about the show's portrayal of violence against women.

"Rape, unfortunately, is still a part of war today," the author had said. "It's not a strong testament to the human race, but I don't think we should pretend it doesn't exist."

The fifth season of 'Game of Thrones' has been one of the most shocking in the history of the series. There were several departures from the book, including Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) getting married to Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). In Martin's book, Ramsay is married to Sansa's friend Jeyne Poole, who pretends to be Arya Stark (played by Maisie Williams in the show).

The season finale, 'Mother's Mercy' will air on June 14 at 9PM on HBO.
