Recovering Alcoholic Michael Le Vell Was Seen Loading His Car With Beers

Michael Le Vell, who is recovering from alcohol addiction, was photographed loading his car with alcoholic drinks.

The Coronation Street star raised concerns from his family and friends after he was spotted from Manchester supermarket and placing beers, cider and wine into the trunk of his car. Le Vell's friends were concerned that the actor might be back into his old addiction.

According to Dailymail, the actor's friend claimed that the drinks he bought are for his girlfriend's parents. Louise Gibbons parents are having a family party and he is just doing them a favor. He added that the actor went to the wholesaler to buy alcoholic and non- alcoholic drinks for the party.

A friend of Michael told The Sun that his friend has come a long way for over a year. He has put the past behind him and settled down. "No one wants to see him take steps in the wrong direction."

Le Velle, who plays the role as Kevin Webster on ITV soap was struggling with an alcoholic problem, it was reported that the 50 year old actor was seen consuming 12 pints a night while doing the soap. But the actor is believed to be sober for 14 months after completing the treatment for the alcoholism.

He even confessed that "he needs help" way back 2013 during his trial on child rape allegations, the soap star revealed that he was  battling against "the demon drink" but was cleared from the rape case.

During his trial, he also admitted that he's using Class A drugs. After his confession the bosses of the ITV soap decided to suspend the actor and believed he needed to clean himself from cocaine. After their mutual agreement with the actor, Michael took a break from the program and went to drug addiction treatment.

After his addiction recovery, Le Velle made a come back to the soap in October.
