Aarthi Agarwal: Bollywood Actress, Dies After Liposuction

Aarthi Agarwal, who has been suffering complications after her liposuction surgery was announced dead at the hospital in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 5. The cause of her sudden death was allegedly connected to the procedure she had undergone a month ago.

The beautiful actress underwent a liposuction surgery a month ago. After the procedure the actress stayed in the hospital for a month due to respiratory problems. On Saturday the 31 year old had a heart attack that caused her death, the International Business Times reports.

Her Manager Uma Sankar clears the news. Uma confirmed that the South Indian actress died because of cardiac arrest. And the sudden death was not caused by the cosmetic procedure she had but instead, the actress had been battling obesity and pulmonary illness, Uma told the Oneindia.

Aarthi made hit headlines back in 2005, when she allegedly had suicide attempts after a break up with a co- star and for lacking of movie offers.

Born and raised in New Jersey, United States, the young actress made her film debut in 2000's Paagalpan at the age of 16 but made her fame in 2001 Nuvvu Naaku Nachavand. She also appeared in various movies such as Veede, Indra, Bambara Kannaley and Ranam 2- the movie was released in India on the same date she passed away. Her sister Aditi is also in the said movie.

Aarthi married a US based Software Engineer in Nov. 2007, Tasval Kumar. After an exchanged vow she quit her acting career. In 2009, everybody was shocked when the actress announced that she is going to divorce her husband and will be back in her acting career. She reportedly went back to her parents in New Jersey.
