Royal tradition requires Princess Charlotte to pose for an official portrait just like her brother Prince George did after he was born. The public have seen the first glimpse of the Princess outside of St. Mary’s Hospital on May 2 and now, they can take an even closer look.
Princess Charlotte posed with her brother, and Kensington Palace's official Twitter account confirmed that the official photos were taken by their mother Kate Middleton. The adorable photos were taken in mid-May.
It says: "The photo of Prince George and Princess Charlotte was taken by The Duchess of Cambridge in mid-May"

True to the royal couple's style, it was no surprise that the first offical photos were not taken by an official photographer, rather by the proud mom.
Prince George wore a white button-up shirt with blue trim, along with blue shorts and knee-socks. Princess Charlotte was wearing a white knit sweater with a lace neckline, as well as white knit bottoms.
George was seen looking at Charlotte adoringly and in one shot he even gave his little sister a sweet kiss on the forehead. This is the first time a royal heir has been photographed kissing his younger brother/sister.
Kate has shown passion in photography as she has previously been seen taking photos during official engagements.
Her official profile on the British Monarchy's official website notes the former art student's love of photography.
"Other hobbies include more recreational sports such as hill walking, tennis, sailing, swimming, and the arts, including photography and painting," reads the profile.
"The Duchess’s enthusiasm for photography saw her taking photographs as part of her role during her time working within Party Pieces, a family company owned and run by her parents," it added.
When she visited the Borneo Jungle in 2012, Kate showed off her skills by taking a series of shots that were later released to the public.
