Kelly Clarkson Covers Rhianna's Song "B*tch Better Have My Money" And Everyone Is Obsessed With It

Season 1 American Idol winner and Grammy Award winning artist Kelly Clarkson recently did a cover of Rihanna's "B*tch Better Have My Money" on a BBC1 Radio Live Lounge show on Wednesday which made everyone obsessed with the track. The critically acclaimed singer blew away listeners with her rendition of that Rihanna song according to Us Magazine.

Clarkson's version is far from the original because she layeres the song by adding some jazz riffs to it, without losing the clean vibrato she's been known for. She also changed the lyrics by scraping off the word "b*tch" and replacing it with "y'all," which makes it more family and radio friendly.

ET couldn't agree more that she did what is expected of her rather wholesome image. The 33-year-old talented singer blew everyone away with her performance and she also just relased her 7th studio album called "Piece By Piece."

Clarkson gave a little hint and promotion of her performance by posting an Instagram video for her fans and captioned it with "On the way to @BBCR1 to record my #LiveLounge!! So excited for this! Here's a hint of my cover song choice. ;) #ballinonabudget." She was holding a lot of money on the video, as if channeling the inner Rhianna in her.

The website Bustle also couldn't stop themselves from complimenting on the jazzy and soulful solid vocals of the singer that her version simply rocked, even if it was stripped down with only 2 backup singers accompanying her. They dubbed her version "infectious" just like the original. This isn't the first time that she covered a Rihanna song too. In 2012, she sang "We Found Love," from Rihanna's "Talk That Talk" album and she nailed it as usual..

The site even suggests that perhaps it's time that the two of them collaborate in a track. Although they have different styles of singing, it won't be hard to assume that it would still be a good record nonetheless.
