The Good Dinosaur: Disney Pixar Asks What If The Asteroid Missed in Trailer, Releases Movie Poster [VIDEO]

The upcoming Disney Pixar 3D animated film 'The Good Dinosaur' has experienced several delays. Director Bob Peterson has already been working on the film before he was removed from the project in 2013. It took some time before the studio found a new director in Peter Sohn, who finally signed on in October 2014.

It looks like the wait is finally over. Disney Pixar has just released a poster for the film, which features a wall painting of a green Apatosaurus. The painting also has the shape of a child's hand.

The poster has been shared on Twitter by @e_GoodDinosaur with the caption, "Teaser Poster for Pixar's THE GOOD DINOSAUR #TheGoodDinosaur #GoodDino."

A teaser trailer has also been released to accompany the poster. The video opens with the information about an asteroid destroying dinosaurs millions of years ago. It features a shot of dinosaurs graze under the night sky. The question flashes, "But what if" as the asteroid missing the planet by just a few miles. The trailer then launches into scenes of the dinosaurs encountering several obstacles and announces the release date.

'The Good Dinosaur' is the story of Arlo the Apatosaurus who befriends a cave-boy named Spot. Together, they must find their way back to the Clawed-Tooth Mountains.

The film features the voices of Lucas Neff as Arlo and John Lithgow as Poppa. Frances McDormand provides the voice of Momma. Neil Patrick Harris, Judy Greer and Bill Hader are the voices behind Arlo's siblings.

There were several aspects that delayed the film's release. Although it was already in the works from 2009 and almost complete by 2013, the release date kept being moved due to other Disney projects. After Peterson was removed from the movie, 'The Good Dinosaur' had to be made over with Sohn directing the project.

'The Good Dinosaur' will be released on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 2015.
