Tom Hanks' Son Chet Says He Has The Right To Use The N-word

Chet Hanks a music rapper also known as Chat Haze, son of the award winning actor Tom Hanks and actress Rita Wilson, defended himself that in his rap music he has the right to use the N-word. Chet speaks out after fans posted adverse reaction online.

The 24-year--old rapper's music video Karma Tattoo contained the N-word, but he said it is in the intention to unite the hip-hop culture across all races.

Incorporating the N-word is considered to be a grave insult and have adverse results from the insulted party

Fans have been posting on social media network opposing the rapper.'s point of view, one fan said, "KEEP. THE. WORD. OUT. OF. YOUR MOUTH."

Another also commented, "You are so very racist, @chethanx. You should really reconsider what you're doing here. I have no doubt your parents find your racism adorable but the rest of the world does not. GROW UP."

To counter the critics of the fans, Chet made a series of posts on Instagram about the issue.

Chet Hanks said, "Look, I know the majority of y'all are not gonna get this, because the history is still so fresh in our country. But hip-hop isn't about race," "It's about the culture you identify with. And no one can tell me what I can't say."

Chet stated that he used the word as he adheres to freedom of speech, and he only used the word and meant it for the people he loves and the people who love him.

Rapper Chat Haze also went on and said that there is no rule whatsoever that only black people has the right to use or say the N word, and that it does carry a bad connotation nowadays. The present generation don't need to have a strong feelings against it.

The negative comments doesn't seem to disturb young Hanks. He wouldn't simply use the word to anybody especially someone he doesn't know. And in wide music vocabulary, he doesn't have plans in removing the said N-word.
