Lil Wayne Gets In a Fight With A Referee During An Anti Violence Campaign

Rapper Lil Wayne allegedly charged and spitted on a referee during an anti-violence basketball game event in St. Louis on Sunday, May 31, 2015.

According to the Daily News, Lil Wayne was one of the coaches for the teams who is part of the game. He went ballistic when the calls he made were disagreed by the referee, resulting to a game not going the way he wanted. He was said to have attacked the referee and eventually spat on him after he finally went irate about the whole situation.

The event was called "Put Down The Pistol" and it's a campaign against violence. The whole thing went ironic when the rapper pulled out a scene evoking the complete opposite of the program. Billboard reported that the game was organized by promoter Loose Canon Slim and it was his team that was playing against the rapper's troop that day.

Wayne is still in the middle of a legal pursuit regarding his new album and  here he is again with another news causing trouble. The Examiner said that there was a video that captured the rapper while he was throwing a fit. The referee was trying to tell him that he doesn't want to fight and he even had his hands up to show surrender.

Wayne still went after the referee to go on with an act of violence. Despite the referee trying to retreat from the crowd, he still chased him and that's when all reports of him charging the man happened. The rapper's camp left their seats to stop the fight. Someone called the police reporting an assault, but no arrest was reported to have occured that day. It's not the first time that Wayne got into a similar situation during a sport event. He was also captured in a video in 2013 cussing at cameraman in a football game.
