One day after celebrating her one year anniversary with Kanye West, reality TV star Kim Kardashian was interviewed on the memorial day episode of the talk show "Live with Kelly and Michael" and said that her rapper/fashion designer husband made her cry after he went over closet and asked her to throw out a large amount of clothes.
The makeover, which was partly aired on a 2012 episode of Kim's smash hit reality series "Keeping up with the Kardashians", shows Kanye, who was still Kim's boyfriend when the episode aired, and personal stylist Renelou Pandora sorting through Kim's clothes and giving her style advice.
The duo swept through Kim's wardrobe and personal belongings picking out various items that didn't meet their personal tastes. Eventually a large pile of shoes, handbags, and clothes had been set aside for discarding and Kim admitted that the thought of throwing away all those clothes brought her to tears.
"I can't get rid of this stuff. Your stylist has no idea what she's talking about," Kim told Kanye. She says that she refused to get rid of her shoes despite saying that she trusts Kanye's style opinions.
Later in the interview however, Kim admitted to hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan that she eventually heeded to Kanye's sartorial advice and credits him with sparking her love of fashion. She told them, "And then I walked in my room and there was an entire room filled with all new clothes...the stuff he wanted to fill back up, my closet with, and it was like really cool, new designer stuff that I, you know, hadn't even heard of some of these designers before and it really helped me fall in love with fashion."
Kim concluded by saying she know lets Kanye pick out all her outfits and consults with him all the time for style tips.
