'Point Break' Remake Gets Exciting New Teaser Starring Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramirez [VIDEO]

The reboot of the 1991 action film 'Point Break' is looking like it's more than just another surfing movie.

Warner Bros. has just released the trailer for the remake, which shows the characters engaging in extreme parachuting, free rock climbing, snowboarding and just to be connected to the previous film, big wave surfing.

The official movie synopsis reads:

"In Alcon Entertainment's fast-paced, high-adrenaline action thriller "Point Break," a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill-seeking elite athletes - led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). The athletes are suspected of carrying out a spate of crimes in extremely unusual ways. Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the architects of this string of inconceivable crimes."

The film will also feature professional athletes who will perform the stunts. Surfers Laird Hamilton and Brian Keaulana will be joined by motorcyclists Oakley Lehman and Riley Harper. Free climber Chris Sharma is set to appear together with snowboarders Louis Vito, Christian Haller, Xavier De Le Rue, Ralph Backstrom and Lucas DeBari.

Bracey played Cobra Commander in 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation.' He has appeared in the Selena Gomez film 'Monte Carlo' and was cast as the young Dawson Cole in the film adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel 'The Best of Me.'

Ramirez's first major motion film was the Keira Knightley action flick 'Domino,' where he played Choco. He later appeared in films like 'The Bourne Ultimatum,' 'Zero Dark Thirty' and 'Deliver Us From Evil.' In 2010, he won the César Award for Most Promising Actor for his performance in 'Carlos.' Ramirez has also been cast in the upcoming action film 'Hands of Stone.'

'Point Break' is based on the 1991 film that starred Keanu Reeves as Johnny Utah and Patrick Swayze as Bodhi. The remake is scheduled for release on December 25, 2015.
