Beyonce and Drake teamed up once again, but this time it's for a new track entitled "Can I." Fortunately for fans, there's no need to wait longer as the full song was just leaked Wednesday.
Before the song was leaked, Drake posted a teaser of the track on Soundcloud. The 12-second track was enough to hook fans and have them gripping their seats for the release date.
OVO artist Sal Houdini, who lent his smooth vocals, also joins the duo. Houdini seems to have added an extra oomph to the song's romanticism. "I've been thinkin' lately what it would be like. Make a f---n' family, you and I," he sings.
In fact, he sings more in the song than Beyonce, who sings a few words repeatedly throughout the song. Sadly, Beyonce's vocal prowess isn't present in this track, but her vocals sure do add some sensuality to it.
The chill track boasts of Drake's rapping skills. "Show you why I am the way I am, tell you what I think my biggest flaw is; I try be consistent but I can't. having this moment with you right now, tell me who the f-k you wanna be," the lyrics say.
The track is definitely unique. Barely any words are spoken for majority of the song, but the synths, beats and vocals work in harmony to give a track that could even be used for a "Fifty Shades of Grey" type of film.
Drake and Beyonce first teamed up for "Mine," a track off of Beyonce's 2013 album. As for other collaborations, Beyonce has just released the music video for her "Feeling Myself" track with Nicki Minaj.
Amazing costumes, sexy dance routines and a lot of girl power can definitely be expected from the video. The full video can be seen exclusively on streaming service Tidal, while non-subscribers will have to wait until its official release.
In the meantime, those who haven't seen the video on Tidal can repeatedly settle for the teaser:
