Chocolate And Wine, Along With Carbs, COULD Be Secret To Weight Loss!

In the fight between the worldwide obesity epidemic and the struggle of millions to keep in shape in these times, there's been a worldwide wave of fad diets, some of which have been proven unrealistic and even damaging to the body in the long term - but now, it seems like chocolate and wine could be the key to weight loss.

It's also become fashionable to follow the diets of royals and celebrities of all sorts, including those of supermodels Christie Brinkley and Adriana Lima as well as Kate Middleton's diet; but the secret might be held in small tasty treats such as chocolate and wine.

According to The Telegraph, the new diet fad, "sirtfoods," boosts some of the elements present in foods like chocolate, wine, kale, green tea and turmeric (one of the basis of curry). What all these chemicals have in common is sirtuins, a type of protein that regulate different biological processes like metabolism and aging.

The Daily Mail reports on Jadis Tillery, an UK resident following a sirtuins-rich diet to lose weight for her wedding, including chocolate and wine; in the diet, she had to follow a week of heavy calorie cuts, from 1,000 per day for three days to 1,500 for the next four - and, due to the components, she actually felt satisfied afterwards.

The most interesting thing about following the so-called chocolate and wine diet is how flexible it is; by just adding sirtfoods on top of your usual (albeit, healthy) intake can actually improve your chances at weight loss.

Nutrition experts now think that the compounds in sirtfoods are actually crucial for boosting health, reducing appetite and even burning fat.

In fact, as previously reported by Food World News, research has shown that fast-famine diets rich in sirtfoods could actually boost a person's lifespan - so it might be time to add some serious amounts of chocolate and wine to the everyday diet!
