Dunkin Donuts Menu: Hearse Drivers Leave Vet Coffin In Parking Lot, Stop By Some Donuts [PHOTO+VIDEO]

While it's not a rare occurrence that the major breakfast chain makes headlines, it's not any new product slipping into the news this time around, more like two hearse drivers' complete lack of respect for the person they were carrying - regardless of how interesting the Dunkin Donuts menu might be.

Food World News has reported on a few of the most interesting Dunkin Donuts menu changes, as it's one of the biggest and most popular chains in the world, mostly dedicated to doughnuts, coffee and other breakfast foods; but it seems like two drivers' love for their products cost them their jobs.

According to The Guardian, two hearse drivers in Florida made news earlier this week after they stopped by one of the chain's shops to enjoy the Dunkin Donuts menu right in the middle of a job, as they were carrying a decorated veteran's body to his funeral.

The Independent reports that New Port Richey, Florida, local Rob Carpenter was also enjoying Dunkin Donuts' menu at the time when he noticed the hearse in the parking lot, with a visible coffin covered in a United States flag, obviously indicating that there was a national hero (a war veteran) inside.

Carpenter then posted a video of the situation online as the two drivers (still unnamed) enjoyed Dunkin Donuts' menu at about 8:50 a.m. last Tuesday, then sending it, along with some photos, to the local Veteran's Warrior group, who in turn posted the information on social media, where it quickly became viral.

According to WPTV, the drivers were carrying Lt. Col. Jesse Coleman, an 84 year-old veteran from the wars of Korea and Vietnam, whose body was on the way to a funeral service from the Clearwater Veterans Funeral Care.

Following the incident, the two employees, who are brothers, were dismissed from the funeral company after many years in the service.

Apparently they later went on Facebook to state that they'd lost their jobs "because of a donut" from the Dunkin Donuts menu, but the funeral director has said he won't be changing his decision even though he thinks they'd change things if they could.
