Johnny Depp’s Dogs With Amber Heard, Boo And Pistol, Have 48 Hours To Leave Australia – Or Will Be Put Down

While the Oscar-nominated actor is surrounded by rumors about a supposedly impending divorce from his new wife Amber Heard, now Captain Jack Sparrow himself has bigger concerns other than what the press says about him, as Johnny Depp's dogs could be facing death in Australia.

Australian animal quarantine rules are famous for being very strict (so much so that there was once an episode of "The Simpsons" fully dedicated to that), and it seems like Johnny Depp's dogs have violated them; now, because of the country's legal controls over this type of situation, Johnny Depp's dogs Pistol and Boo could be put down.

According to BBC, the controversy surrounding Johnny Depp's dogs began last month, when Depp and wife Heard flew into the city of Queensland on a private jet, bringing their two Yorkshire Terriers along - however, it seems like they didn't declare them to customs officials, prompting the current issue.

CNN reports that Australia's Department of Agriculture ultimately realized the presence of Johnny Depp's dogs in the country when the actor had his assistant take them to grooming, and sent the star and his wife a clear message: they had to either send their pets back home to the US or the two pooches would have to be put down.

"He has decided to bring to our nation two dogs without actually getting proper certification and the proper permits required. Basically, it looks like he snuck them in," said agriculture minister Barnaby Joyce to The Guardian about the situation regarding Johnny Depp's dogs. "We found out he snuck them in because we saw him taking them to a poodle groomer."

The action has made news all over the world, as the minister gave the actor 50 hours last Thursday to ship the dogs back, but it is the government's understanding that the actor is about to send Boo and Pistol back home.

Depp and Heard are currently in Australia as he's filming the latest installment of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies, though it's clear Johnny Depp's dogs won't be joining the couple for long Down Under.
