Game Of Thrones Recap: Daenerys Marrying Rival, Tyrion And Jorah Visit Haunted City – Not Leaving Unharmed [SPOILERS]

The HBO epic sensation has gathered more and more fans as time goes by, and the fifth season, which greatly swifts from the original source material (namely the "A Song Of Ice And Fire" book series by George R. R. Martin), now sees its fifth episode - which makes it time for a "Game of Thrones" recap!

A few hours before the premiere of the fifth season, the Internet saw the first leak of the HBO show, as the first four episodes appeared online for download; now, the "Game of Thrones" recap of the fifth episode, "Kill the Boy," shows the first one not covered by the recent leak.

As Vanity Fair reports on its latest "Game of Thrones" recap, the title of last Sunday's episode comes from a dialogue between Maester Aemon (Peter Vaughan) and the new Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, Jon Snow (Kit Harington), when Ned Stark's bastard son is advised to follow his gut and be a man by making the tough decisions - even though he will be hated for them.

Snow's plan against the army of the dead doesn't bode well with the Night's Watch: he says that the only way of surviving winter and the White Walkers is joining the Wildlings from the other side of the wall; for this, he tells Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) to gather his people, for which he demands that Snow come along as the Wildlings must hear the peace offering from his own hand.

According to Rolling Stone Magazine's "Game of Thrones" recap, not long before Snow leaves North of the Wall to gather the Wildlings, Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) goes off to take Winterfell back from the Boltons.

The Washington Post reports that, in the meantime, things are getting madly awkward at Winterfell: Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) faces his mistress, Myranda (Charlotte Hope), who is mad with jealousy after seeing how he looked at his bride to be, Samsa Stark (Sophie Turner) - so much so that she decides to take Samsa to see an old friend: the man formerly known as Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen), now Reek.

Of course, Ramsay's solution upon finding out is simple and amazingly awkward: he forces Reek to apologize to Samsa and then says it should be Reek giving up the bride when it's time for the wedding.

Across the sea, things are getting more complicated for Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), as the "Game of Thrones" recap sees the Mother of Dragons betrayed by one of her closest advisors; in return, she has her dragons burn and kill one of the people behind the death of Ser Barristan (Ian McElhinney) and Grey Worm's wounds (Jacob Anderson) - who also says he was only afraid to die because he'd miss Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel).

After speaking with Missandei, khaleesi realizes what's the right choice, between killing her enemies and having mercy: she decides to spare Hizdahr (Joel Fry) from being burnt to death by her dragons and ultimately marry him to make an alliance with the old families of Meereen.

Another major plot point in the "Game of Thrones" recap involves two all-time favorite characters: Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), both of whom are currently sailing to Meereen to meet Daenerys, as her former advisor tries his best to gain the good graces of the Queen by kidnapping and trying to bring her a member of the Lannister family.

However, according to Time Magazine things go sour when Jorah takes a different route to reach Meereen: instead of the usual one, plagued by pirates, he decides to take their boat through the abandoned city of Valyria ... where Tyrion, amazed, looks up at the heavens and sees a dragon for the first time, as Drogo flies over the city where Targaryens come from.

In any case, as Jorah and Tyrion sail through, they are ambushed by a group of stone men (the same illness that Stannis Baratheon's daughter has), who end up taking their boat and almost drowning Tyrion to death ... but they ultimately infect Jorah of the disease, though he keeps it a secret from his traveling companion as they prepare to walk towards Meereen.

Don't miss the "Game of Thrones" recap of the sixth episode next week!
