Pizza Hut App Saves Florida Mom From Abusive Boyfriend In AMAZING Pizza Hut App Story

In a time when just about every food chain is turning to delivery options, particularly through smartphones and generally the Internet, it has now come out that the Pizza Hut app was actually used for something else completely different from what it was made for, as a woman's quick thinking got her out of having been kidnapped.

Over the past few months, a few of the biggest companies in the world have turned to delivery as a new way to promote their products, from Chipotle and Taco Bell to even other companies like Über and Google trying their hands into the services through alliances with restaurants; however, these days it's the Pizza Hut app making headlines.

According to Local12, a woman in Florida was being held hostage (along with her young children) by her abusive boyfriend, but the fact was that he was hungry and allowed her to order a meal through the Pizza Hut app - and what happened afterwards was absolutely amazing.

Express reports that the hostages were being held at gunpoint in their family home by the mother's partner, 26 year-old Ethan Earl Nickerson, and she wasn't allowed to call or text; however, after being kidnapped for hours, she finally managed to convince Nickerson to allow her to order a meal through the Pizza Hut app.

"Please help. Get 911 to me," the mother wrote on the Pizza Hut app, adding the secret message into her order. "911 hostage help!"

Eventually, the pizza arrived along with police officers from Avon Park, Florida; although they found the mother and her children unharmed, they took Nickerson into custody when he ultimately confessed.

According to Techno Buffalo, the woman was a regular at the local Pizza Hut, and the people in the afternoon shift knew her, so they didn't think twice to call the police when they received the message.

While unintended, the Pizza Hut app potentially saved a few lives!
