As "Avengers: Age of Ultron" finally got its wide domestic theater release last weekend and it's currently breaking box office records, the Marvel Cinematic Universe carries on with the new "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 episode 20, with only a few more episodes until the season finale.
Last week, Food World News reported that it'd been Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) who had recovered key information on the MCU to defeat Baron von Strucker (Campbell Lane) at the beginning of the "Avengers" sequel, as they were experimenting on gifted people, particularly the Maximoff twins; now, "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 episode 20 shows viewers the aftermath of the events of the film in the MCU.
While the "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 episode 20 shows just how much changed in the MCU after Ultron's attacks and everything that meant (you can read spoilers for the movie here), creators have nonetheless stated that no future tie-ins to the movies would be as important as the one found in "Captain America: Winter Soldier," as there it was revealed that HYDRA had infiltrated SHIELD from the very beginning.
According to International Business Times, the "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 episode 20 will be showing even more action with the Inhumans, as Coulson's team questions Skye (Chloe Bennet) and her motives for coming back, as well as her involvement with the gifted.
Yibada reports that in the "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 episode 20, the third to last episode of the season, the focus will be put on Skye, as she's confronted about her loyalties, feeling torn about both her families: SHIELD and the Inhumans.
Hypable reports that, while diehard fans of the MCU will have already watched "Avengers: Age of Ultron," for those that haven't popped into theaters yet the show won't be spoiling anything major - so, fans can watch the "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 2 episode 20 tonight with no worries!
