Kate Middleton Baby: Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Welcome Prince George’s Baby Sister!

After a tough pregnancy at first as the Duchess of Cambridge suffered once again from heavy morning sickness as she did with her first child, Prince George, Kate Middleton's baby girl was finally born after being overdue for the past week!

The world has been following every step of the way waiting for Kate Middleton's baby to be born, since the Windsor representatives first announced that she was expecting her second child all the way to her new travels, her diet - and even the way streets were being cleared last week while London officials prepared for the birth of the baby girl!

According to BBC, Kensington Palace officially announced earlier today that Kate Middleton's baby girl was born at 8:34 BST, adding she had been "safely delivered" without any further problems, and that she weighed 8 pounds and 4 ounces (3.7 kilograms)

The father of Kate Middleton's baby, Prince William, was present for the young girl's birth.

Standard UK reports that the young royal was born at the same place as her big brother, the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital in London. She was escorted to the hospital by her Royal Protection Officers.

The baby's uncle, Prince Harry, currently on tour in Australia, was also alerted of the birth.

Pop Sugar reports that Kate Middleton's baby is doing well, as well as her famous mom, and the way the young royal's birth was announced followed longtime tradition in the British crown: the custom states that an easel must be put in front of Buckingham Palace with the official announcement of the birth of the new royal.

Us Weekly reports that the baby girl had been scheduled for an April 23 due date, but Kate didn't go into labor until the early hours of Saturday, May 2, along with her husband, the Duke of Cambridge.

There's still no announcement about the name of Kate Middleton's baby girl, but there's certain international expectation that she'll have the same name as her grandmother, Princess Diana.
