Richard Gere Divorce To Carey Lowell DRAMA: Bond Girl Asks ‘Pretty Woman’ Actor For $100 Million

Dramatic marriage splits are difficult for anyone, but it would seem that for someone like the "Pretty Woman" actor, a known Tibetan Buddhist and even close friends with the Dalai Lama, the Richard Gere divorce to Carey Lowell must be even tougher, particularly for his image.

A few months back, Food World News first reported on Richard Gere's divorce, as it became known that he and his Bond girl wife, "License to Kill" actress Carey Lowell, had become estranged and were officially filing for divorce, with the actor's huge fortune in the middle, as well as the custody of their 15 year-old son Homer James Jigme.

Now, according to The Daily Mail, Richard Gere's divorce has become bitterer, and the 54 year-old actress is attacking the "Chicago" star for all his worth, literally, as they fight over Gere's entire estate, worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 million.

Though they've been fighting under the radar and turning the Richard Gere divorce process into a very uncomfortable affair, The New York Post's Page Six Magazine reports that they seemed to be on amicable terms last Friday when appearing at the Manhattan Supreme Court over the split.

Gere and Lowell were even seen chatting up calmly in the court.

It seems like Richard Gere's divorce settlement with his estranged has already gone through custody, and they've already decided how they're splitting taking care of their 15 year-old boy - however, there are still no reports as to how it's working for them right now.

"We had a nice chat with the judge. We're moving along. It's all about money," said Robert Cohen, Lowell's lawyer, to The New York Daily News last Friday as he was leaving the court following an easy day in the job.

In the past, Gere left the court rooms to be surrounded by paparazzi and even poked reporters with an umbrella, but the actor seems to have cooled down by now.

There's no way of telling how long will take the Richard Gere divorce to go through.
